Sujitha is a popular and successful television actress who acted in many hit Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam television serials and films since 1983. Some of her films created tremendous box office success and earned Sujitha to be critically acclaimed for her commendable acting performances. She was born and belongs to the highly educated and prestigious Keralite family from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. She spent her childhood in Chennai. Her parents are Malayali’s T.S Mani and Radha. Sujitha’s brother is ace and renowned film Director Surya Kiran who is married to famous South Indian film actress, Kalyani. Sujitha was married to Dhanush, an Ad Film Maker and they both settled in Pollachi.
Her mother is a fanatic of and Sheela’s duo, and it was her and Sujitha’s elder brother who encouraged her to enter the film industry. Sujitha loved acting since her childhood and started her acting career at a very young age.
She worked in more than 100 films and television shows in South Indian languages and also in Hindi. She first appeared in the film, Abbhas as the granddaughter of K. Vijaya when she was just 41 days old. She ventured in the South Indian film industry as a child artist since 1983. Sujitha first appeared in the Tamil film, under the direction of K. She was also featured as a child artist in films like,, Hatya, Talli Tandrulu and Azhagan. Her first Malayalam film was Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal in 1986.
